2 months here

And haven't really conquer Perth yet ;(

Well my bad sense of direction hardly help me in travelling

Perhaps needs more time to familiarise wit the bus, roads etc

A day out during free week

Just had a 25 minutes conversation wit mum on the phone

Heard some funny stuffs haha

Anyway I went to this Hillary's Boat Harbour

Don't ask me the whereabout I sure don't know haha

Probably somewhere veryyy west

It was rather boring for me

Perhaps as boring as it is for this fish right now

Should have gone to city instead =(

This place's quite big

Offers different thing to do

Like us we went to the underwater world ( not sure about the official title )

There are some other things similar to theme park also

After that my housemate and his friends went to soak themselves up in the water

Not my stuff

A bit phobia towards water

The sea lagi the waves are intimidating

And I can't swim -.-

So you can see why I am scared haha

Only dared to walk along the seashore

Letting the waves slap slap slap my foot

After that basically I did nothing else

Only sat there for like 2 hours

The view I had then was exactly this

But at least the breeze was really nice

It was a wonderful Saturday

Went to city with a bunch of lively people

With them around it's always nice haha

More $$$ flew away

Bought myself a spike

Quite heartbroken after paying for it =(

Really spent a lot during the past few week

You see every dollar spend

My mind will automatically multiply it 3 haha

But much better than when I first came here

At least now I can eat peacefully

After today I would strongly consider to do a shift of two weekly

Soon after reaching at night I had Adrian and Rashid coming over for a drink

FIFAed and Simpsoned

Haha we're just bored

But had fun crappin and talking nonetheless

Oh how time flies

A month here already

Now I am still monitoring and planning my daily needs

Like how many days to get groceries

How much you have to buy each time

How long those gonna last

Bring out the auntie side of me more and more

And oh I'm going solo now

So it's going to be tougher for me

But it's for the better I suppose

After certain time I'll definitely grow tired of this but will get used to it wit time

Perhaps maybe one of my experience here worth sharing

I still find it difficult to communicate wit people here

It's either they don't understand what I am saying or they pretend they don't know what I am saying

Like in my IT lab

I asked a guy beside me on what to do

He had his sentence filled wit more more 'yea' than the content

And when I raised my question to my lecturer he answered me some other thing haha

Just so freakin annoyin la

But I admit everytime for some reason here

I struggle to string words together zzz

Maybe too nervous

It's making myself feel so vulnerable

Feel like askin them to a computer and let me type out what I said

In a way being unable to communicate is a big handicap

It's definitely not the problem of different races

No racism intended here

Because I've seen my friends doing just fine

It should be a matter of being confident

It's gonna be hard 'cos usually for every post I'm gonna like check through everything before posting

10 days already since I arrived at Perth

And it's my first time away from home

So how do I feel

First thing I can't emphasize enough is the weather here

Ya the sun is scorching hot .. always

Yet the cool breeze really makes you syiok haha

So it balances out !

Pretty even wit the humidity felt back in M'sia

Still summer here so there're 3 more seasons to come

The first ten days

Got to know more people especially friends of Esther and Rachel

Who helped me so much to settle here

And the campus here is really besarrrr

Till now I still can't really remember where is where

I guess it'll take some time to be familiar

And In the space of 10 days I managed to go several places

I really love the campus though

Sad I think Curtin people gonna label me as traitor

I think I'm settling OK so far

A Semester To Forget

I never think I'll ever be here revealing my results haha

And no, it's not because I'm happy about it

A better word to describe is ..

A lot of both actually

I ended my exam a few weeks back with mixed emotion

Happy that semester break is here

At the same time

Dreading the day my results' released

What went wrong huh?

Yes we can always point our fingers at AUTOCAD

The one sucky unit that screwed the lifes of MEng students

Imagine spending a huge chunk of time doing assignment

Then what you get in return was a-no-mercy 0 mark lolx

But no thats not the whole thing

The person to blame is probably ourselves

Last minute somemore la!

Since high school I think my expectation has just gone lower and lower

And this time it has really gone too far already -_- right on the edge

ANYWAY

I guess what's over is over

Glad that I got through this semester

Come the next one

I told myself that I'm prepared to be a nerd!

(At least that's what I'm telling myself)

Holiday Blues

So lazy to blog!

Yeah again another emo post

Okla I'll try not to haha

Anyway it has been 2 weeks since the greatest exam I'd ever have ..

Okay lets not go into detail lolx

And also just back from a short trip to the Peninsula!

Last Tuesday I flew to KL

From there went to some other places also

Miri -> KL -> Penang -> KL -> Malacca - > KL -> Miri

My comment .. hmm

Nothing to shout about haha

For two reasons it feels like it was an 'incomplete' vacation

One for the lack of freedom as it was a family outing

Need more room to spread my wings !

And also I didn't really accomplish my mission of finding a pair of new sneakers

I thought there will more choices there but maybe ..

I didn't try hard enough to find

Ugh for all the money I saved just to get them roar!

But still a family trip is a family trip!

Spending time with family of course has its value hehe.

Anyway

I find Penang is kinda a good place

I don't find too many places to visit over there

Food wise though it's a really great place!

Suits the type of person like me

Who lives to eat rather than eat to live ahaha

Quite a lot things to eat there la and 2 days are not enough to try them all

Kinda feel 'sakai' there as the last time I set my foot there was 10 years ago

This time around we'd have relatives bringing us around so it is easier hehe

I spend about half a day in Malacca

My brother who lives in KL rented a car and drove us down there

Can't remember anything from there

Because I was 'carsick-ed' -_-''

Kinda irritating la

Just an hour or two in a plane or car

Or maybe half an hour on twisty roads

Will send me into headache like there is no tomorrow

Maybe due to lack of travelling

On KL

Too 'sesak' for me lolx

All I will say is

I LOVE MIRI ahhaha

First thing to say here is ..

Happy birthday Billy! (don't think he will read it here though)

And yeah it's free week!

2 weeks of not-so-deserved break

Considering how lazy I have always been ^^

Still I welcome any no-class with open arms lolx

As usual nothing much to update

Right before the break started we had this Curtin Open Day

And I couldn't believe that I had not taken a single photo -_-

I guess it was only so so

Quite okay but waking up at 5 and starting work at 6 something wasn't that fun!

I only had 2 books of coupon yet so difficult to decide what to be spent on

Mixed emotion at the end of the day

Because basically we had nothing to sell by noon

Never expect to sell so well can!

And it rained like mad just when we're just about to leave

So everyone got wet haha ( especially KangKang, I saw him soaked from head to toe and I was ignored when I called him sad)

To conclude : A tiring, tiring day!

About a week of holiday to go

Still lurking behind fluid exam and graphic assignment

Gotta start working on them!

Lately I've been thinking
My enthusiasm towards building my own career
is as thin as paper
Not what I want?
Or simply just over-zealous degree of procrastinating?

Take A Walk With Me, On The 9th of Feb

It feels awkward posting it now, that was a few days ago!

A couple of friends of mine KK , Senadin Noob and I had lunch the day before, because they were busy the next.

Later we headed to KK's house after realizing Miri is so small, and there wasn't any other place to go haha

From there I got my first early birthday present too. Just when I was set to go back, they noticed that my rear left tyre looked a bit emo, flat.

I thought it was OK, I knew I hadn't fill it with air for quite some time.

But when I turned to see it myself, all the sweatness came flowing on me.

Puncture woi!

Don't you dare laugh okay

I believe at least half of you people reading here never changed tyre before.

And before this yeah me too. Sad.

I duno this guy behind me

Perhaps by nature, I do get panic easily. Thank goodness I had the other two guys with me and after 1-2 hours and many a phonecall (asked Dad for tips -.-) then i finally drive home.

Came 12am, and I was sitting in front of old TV set watching Man Utd vs West Ham.

Then my phone rang, a text from a close buddy in Uni.

Feeling contented after looking at the short but meaningful message, I continued watching the game and,

staying up supporting my team reaped its reward, when Giggs scored the winner that sent me rolling on my living room in celebration (;

I saw over the years 0902 always coincide with another occasion.

This time 'round there're two! Chap Goh Mei and also the less celebrated Chinese V's Day? (betul ka? haha) So it's Triple Celebration!

In the morning I got another virtual gift from New Orleans Hornets, the basketball team I support. As injury depleted the team was, they won!

Somewhat, seeing my team win always give me this satisfaction.

Then came more greetings via text and also MSN.

In the afternoon, I decided to watch a movie on my ever loyal computer.

After browsing through the movies I decided to watch Incredible Hulk (1), feeling quite crippled as I watched the IH 2 even before watching the first.

A few minutes into the show, I realized it was IH 2 -.-

I carried on watching though because I kinda like it back then so why not rewatch. Liv Tyler is attractive enough too ^^

My show though, got interupted when my buddy from high school, Afiq called me up and dropped by at my place. Thanks a lot pal!

To Afiq : I have not eaten it yet haha. I haven't read the book too, not in the mood of reading yet. But I'm sure I'm gonna like it :)

Later my movie was interupted again -.- This time Dad's persistance to get me wash the car finally got the better of me haha.

Came night time, it was business stuff man : DOTA DOTA DOTA haha. Had been really into the game lately.

A no-life tag kinda suit me just fine haha, but after this I think I will know how to control myself already. I'm 20 alright!

Halfway playing I received another text, who wished me already in the morning.

And yeah, I will keep that one! :)

My inability to sleep early and hastily kept me awake again deep into the night. Till I finally dozed off, thats 24 hours of my 20th birthday!

To reflect back, I have had this strange affection that, out of the 365 days in one full year, the day I was born stands out more than any other.

I look at this as the day I need not do anything, where every cars on the road should give me way and not obstruct me and where every GG player feed me.

Carry this on till I start working don't even be surprised if I take leave. HAHA

This time though, I have different feeling towards it.

I'll say it's just another day

Where roads will always be jammed, and me myself will continue to feed other GG players.

And I felt this soothing feeling when I am remembered by loved ones and friends who sent me all those greetings.

And yes, I had a very very peaceful and satisfactory birthday!

But I was kinda particularly satisfied with the New Year Eve dinner wit my family, as well the visitings I did on the 3rd day.

And this morning I set my personal best record of waking up at 11.20 in the morning haha.

Might have been because of the weather, so perfectly suited to sleeping

Making me so attached to my bed

Might also be the accumulated exhaustion of the lack of sleep in the last few days

Slightly exaggerated but I just couldn't agree more!

In truth time really hush-by and gone

Leaving hardly any chance to cherish and appreciate them

And sometimes

It feels like having 24 hours a day is not enough.

2008 huh?

I would say it was a breakthrough year for me

In the sense of self-realization

Of just how
much of a hypocrite I was sometimes
how I learnt not to care about things I usually weigh so much
how my interest shifted from Night Lord to Sniper and Troll HAHA
how unsociable I'd become
Or put it simply as just how much I've changed

In relation to my Foundation Year

I thought I'd done more things too

Like playing more sports

Deeper involvement in club activities

Urhm and also Rexbox (don't laugh can -.-)

Plus spending more time than ever with buddies that won't be here for at least 4 months a year

Looking back again

There were mixed moments

Where there were few happy ones
Some angry ones where I wished I had Sharingan
Giving endless pain to those who triggered them
Some frustating ones too, in the form stress which is a common associate with assignment
As well as watching Kimi having bad races throughout the year
And also many a disappointing occasion.

To cap this off

I'll say it's just another year

None happening that stands out more than other

Let's us all hope 2009 will be better than the previous

Me & Ferrari of 2008 - Continued

Massa did everything he could. He led the race from start to finish, and Kimi backed him up to finish between him and Lewis. Still it wasn't enough. Sigh, if only the Toyota held on for another lap in front of the Mclaren. Just one more lap.

Nevertheless good try Massa! But I guess it'll be difficult for you next year. Cos Kimi is going to win the championship wahahah.

I've said before that even effort sometimes yields you nothing. But it is always worth trying, like what Massa did (:

Me & Ferrari of 2008

As I was bathing just now, it just come to thought that I have some simillarities with the Ferrari F1 team of 2008.

Ferrari had been unpredictable this year, sometimes very good while every other time disappointing. Sometimes I am hardworking when the mood is there. But most of the time you'll never find a lazier person than me.

Two times already it happened this year that a Ferrari left the pit with the refueling rig still attached on the car, which ruined the race (and hurting the pit crew) for them. Costly, costly error. I always have the butter fingers, careless mistakes in quizzes and exams. Frustating!

The trend this is that Ferrari struggled in qualifying, leaving them to start the race from behind the grid. So it's playing catch up all the way. In the climax of the weekend, which is the race itself, the Ferrari's take too long to get up to speed. When they do, they are already just too far behind to catch up. That's the main reason Kimi lost his championship. I can't concentrate when it's too early in advance to the exam. I tried but never manage to. When exam gets near and I realise that I'm in trouble, then I start to pressure myself -.-

Kimi's teammate Massa is now trailing 7 points to Lewis. He still has a chance to be the world champion. But he only has the final race of the season in Brazil to take 7 points off the zzz McLaren. Difficult task but still the chance is there. Final exam nearing, and many things to catch up. But I still have 2 weeks!

Walao laziness wit blogging really struck me haha. I'll just go on writing about what's on during the past month.

My days were pretty much monotonous I guess, in campus much of the day on weekdays and occasional sports and club activities on weekends . I also get to learn to organise a general meeting for CUTEC, which I think I kinda messed up with the planning. Good thing it went quite okay. Hoho^^

And also the Olympics, which really lived up to its hype; a spectacular opening ceremony coupled by an impressive closing ceremony. And also most sportspeople I idolised won gold haha. Ma Lin, Lin Dan, USA basketball team and the list went on. Hmm recalling back I actually supported Lee Chong Wei in the badminton singles final, but no one expected him to lose so easily. Maybe his nerve got to him I guess, because LCW at his best can do much better la obviously. Ohya there also were Phelps and Bolt, who set remarkable feats which I don't think necessary to say here. I agree with some friends who made this comment: "Bukan manusia. " Haha

Now moving on the most recent event, Curtin Carnival last Saturday. I wasn't present last year but I think the previous one was much more erm meriah(what's the word in english? -.-)Still quite a fun day la, though not many choices of food I kept on eating. That night there was also a suddenly-decided BBQ at Kenny's house. So I ended the day feeling superly bloated haha.

And today the gang went for lunch to celebrate birthday with hamkan. Happy belated bday hamkan!

Hmm the free week is also ending already and I think I have enjoyed the holiday a little bit too much -.- So yah, it's time to stress again. Some exams coming up also.

I will not falter again. At least thats what I am telling myself (:

Haha just updating what I've been up to recently.

Currently I'm very busy. Busy being a no-lifer^^

First I'll have to clear some wrong perspective because Dhiren came to me on MSN, seemed worried that I wanted to end my life -.-

It's about getting indulged in something so much that nothing else matter haha. For me it's full time gaming lo. Really nothing else to do what. But doesn't really fit me 100% as I still eat enough and sleep enough.

It has its advantage actually. Playing all the time stops you from thinking about things you don't want to think or worry about issue you don't want to worry.

But it's still difficult for people who think a lot like me ahahaha.

If you're talking about alternatives, there is not much to choose from la. I only watch TV on weekends, and I can't possibly go out everyday. Miri very small de lo -.-

And to download movies.. download is a very sensitive word to me T_T LOL .

Ohya, forgot to mention that a few weeks ago I've upgraded my P licence to the one wihout P le (what is it called? ) muahahaa.

Hey guys!

MIA for some time again haha.

Last week, I fell quite sick. Nothing serious bah. Not much has been going on lately that getting ill is something very significant to me haha.

It was kinda strange as the fever comes on and off. It got bad sometimes that my limbs felt really heavy to the extent that all I can only lie in my living room for a morning or afternoon.

And also this niggling headaches, hate it ugh. But then when I started to sweat then I felt okay again, as healthy as a rabbit haha.

And yeah, my computer got this trojan horse

I have had great plan de actually after exam , in erhem, maple it is haha. Sometime in the future I will reveal that plan. I'm sure I will

But the game lagged like @#$%^&* and it was impossible to play, and soon I began watching Youtube more than ever before -.-

Sien-sation rapidly crept in and it really gets tooooo sickeningy boring. Slow internet didn't help too.
In desperation I tried looking for alternative games. One came to my mind : FIFA 2008

I began asking friends around if anyone happened to have the game, but no one has it.

So I asked Billy ( he's all about IT stuffs^^) if there is anyway to download this type of game. He didn't disappoint me and gave me a site to search for link to download. Later I would find that my carelessness would be the one disappointing me LOL. All ur fault la Billy T_T

It took 4 bloody days to finish download the game. 4 days! With an average speed of 17kb/s. Crazy la. First time in my life that I left my computer on overnight for download. After that still went through quite a trouble searching for the crack.

But soon all the troubles seem to be paying off. The game was great, being my sole entertainer when internet was unusable. It worked out pretty well for one or two days.

A few days later,my sister complained to me that the computer hanged while she was using it the night before. I boot the comp and yeah,

I panicked a bit because my dad's flight is due to arrive that afternoon ; he will be the one giving me the lectures -_-'' so for the next few days I stick myself with the comp to avoid my dad from using and discovering it haha. So to some of you, now can understand why I was reluctant to go out that time? Silly right? I find myself really silly sometimes.

Then after my dad went off again, I got sick as I mentioned ealier on.

Being an absolute kuku in computer stuff, I don't know how to fix the problem. I told my brother about the Trojan.

The only solution here is reformatting lo, because Windows' files are the ones infected. And I seriously I don't wanna surrender to let the computer shop people fix it. The service charge is a bit steep to me, considering the amount of work.

And also this is great chance for me to step out of my shell to learn ^^

So I invited my friend Sing Ong to come over my place to help me. They (VC came along also) taught me the steps. The first 2 tries failed, most probably because of the ServicePack3 XP CD de problem. Then after they went back I tried myself using ServicePack2 version and guess what? It worked ahaahhahahahahahahah

It really wasn't hard. Just require a bit of time. I would recommend to you guys to learn to do it yourself. If your computer always kena virus, it's gonna save you a lot of money in the long run haha. Still, I'm quite sure many knows how to do it la.

But then my computer is a bit strange. Just minor problems but it works alright. Wahaha I'm very contented I tell you^^.

I watched it the night after my exam finished. It's a good one I think, very funny and the characters are all very cute. I noticed a few others had entries about this movie so I think I won't go too much into detail. I'm still left wondering though, why the village only has pigs as citizens, and why the panda, a mammal, has a bird daddy(or wadever it was, creature with wings) ? -.-

It was out quite some time ago, in fact I think it was about a year ago? haha. Friends told me it's a good movie, but I'm only halfway watching it(via youtube.com ^^), thanks to the brilliant job STREAMYX is doing. Not planning to finish it also, because until now I still don't quite understand the story haha. Sad thing that Chris Brown died in the early part ._.

Bad internet :
What else can I say? I'm sure complaints come from all 13 states in Malaysia (13 or 14 states? o.o) I don't expect a 1mb/s download rate from Streamyx. Limited bandwidth I can understand. But being horribly unstable and unpredictable? Whoever responsible for the internet connection wouldn't be short of complaints. Complaints were made. But any improvement? I have no idea if they have done anything. Or maybe they tried, but failed. Only they know. This sums up the first few days of my dreadful holiday, even snail can move faster I think -__-

Post-Examination Period

Exam finished diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii haha. Degree students' exam is coming to an end this week, and I think geology first years are having their last paper today. Actually it ended last wednesday for me but my laziness + my connection prevented me from posting anything.

The last few weeks were probably the stress-est time I'd ever gone through. Pretty much being a no-lifer la haha. Sometimes I sat down with the notes and books non-stop from morning till night, with only meal-times or toilet breaks in between. I even slept with books, to foster a better relationship with them so that information would enter my head easier LOL. Lame I know -.-

But nothing to be proud of actually, because it was mostly doing catch-up work. I found that even working hard for the last two weeks would not be enough. Or less than two weeks la, all those stupid assignments -.- This kind of effort won't work anymore larh, at this level.

And also I know this time whatever I'm getting, I've tried!

Yah, I must say I'm happy that exam is over. To hell with those stresses -_- Now I have approximately another 5 weeks of break. I find it a bit too long for me la. 5 weeks is just enough to let us rot and have our brain rusted if there isn't anything to do.

And friends I'm with throughout the semester are mostly not Mirian, and they are going back to their hometown soon. Not saying that I have no Mirian friend here but those outstation people are the ones I do a lot of things together; lunch, studying and all those things la. So, yah, their absence would be felt a bit.

Aite let's move to the brighter side of life haha. I haven't really decide on what to do during this holiday. Definitely will find time to go out with my long lost buddies. Was being really too busy to find time to find you people. So very sorry guys! Anyone of you coming back or having a break as well and happened to be reading this, meet up bah :)

Regardless of what I'm going to do I will try to enjoy this holiday. You guys should too!

To come to think of it again, I don't find any reason for me to be so frus also lah haha. But, still sigh.

The post title would seem familiar to some haha. I wrote because there's a BBQ just now

The reason why was because this morning when I drove home after breakfast with Mum, I heard the weather forecast on the radio, expecting "thunderstorm" in Miri -_-''' That of course made me worried la;

BBQ + rain = disaster -.-

And the sky was cloudy throughout the day

The BBQ was organised by CUTEC, for members only.

Actually it was initially planned that a few of us should be the ones doing the barbecuing. But but I'm noob in these things. In the end most of my other friends did it. For me, all I did was fan-ing, fan-ing and more fan-ing haha.

After about 2-3 hours looking and fan-ing I think I know how to start the fire di. I think only la.

Done panggang-ing, done eating, then everyone had their own time lo. There's a game session, but half of the orangs all ran away haha. It's basically having a paper attaached on your back, and everyone is free to write anything on it. In the end most of us also played la.

They said I'm probably the most hated guy because my paper's all filled with craps and trash haha. Wanted to post it here, but after giving it a second thought I decided not to -.-

A special post tributed to my elder sister

It's her birthday today!

Honestly hmm

I only remembered when I saw the Friendster reminder message in my inbox LOL

But she's very nice to me actually

With me being a rather not-so-independant type of people, she really took care of me when both parents aren't home;

Making sure my meals are in-tact and also cook for me;

Making sure I had transport to move about (she fetched me a lot from school, tuition and and and going to other places)

I think no brothers, ever, had eaten more chocolate bought by his sister than me haha.

Really, if she goes somewhere, she'll get something for me, as well as everyone under the same roof^^

Hmm chocolates, making sure my tummy is filled; haha I know it sounds silly and childish

The fact is, I treasure it at the bottom of my heart.

Time Really Flies..

Final exam is about a month away. Still long la haha.

But I know, I know, if I don't want repeat the same mistake of leaving thing all to the last minute, it's time to start doing something!

And to look ahead, busy times are coming: cars and bridges, presentations, assignments.

Bakun & SMDS

I'm more than a week late to post this. Attempted several times to start posting, but each time my brain just went blank haha.

During last week's free week, CUTEC Club (I think it stands for Curtin University of Technology Engineering Club. correct me if I'm wrong -.-) organised a trip to these two places. SMDS is located near Bintulu, and Bakun I think it's a lot further. Forgot le haha. In case you don't know, SMDS stands for Shell Middle Distillate Synthesis. The operations are basically about doing stuffs with natural gas. Yah, nothing else but natural gas.

The use of handphone and cameras are quite limited here for safety reason so I can't show you anything from the site. Only managed to get some shots in front of the main building -.-

Next up was the visit to Bakun the next day. It's going to be 2nd highest(biggest?) dam of its kind, as explained by one the engineers. Before going there I knew that place is big. But when I got there, I was surprised to see how much bigger that place is actually haha.

This dam can be considered as a mega structure for its size I guess. From my inquiries, the dam is 60% done, and will start operating in 2012.

After a briefing from an engineering, we were taken up to the site using 4WD vehicles.

After the site visit, we coasted back straight to Miri. It was a rather informative trip. Had some fun as well^^ Maybe 2 days 1 night a bit too short but it's okay la.

PC FAIR IS ON IN MIRI! Go see see bah

I just went to have a look at the shops, the computers, the lappies or anything related to IT stuffs.

Kinda sad la, I go there to 'see' only, not 'hunt' -.-

I want a new computer quite badly actually, or a lappy will do. My house computer can be considered antic le haha.

The problem is

I want quality, but my house got quantity le -_-

Aspire M5640-466X caught my eyes (copy paste the model name and google it yourself haha). Never tried asking my mum though because I don't have any good reason to get a comp quite as power as that.

Nah nvmla, as long as my comp works normally good enough already. But deep down I hope that my computer condemns on its own for me to get a new one hahaha

And oh, actually the last week was tuition free week so there wasn't any class. Didn't do anything particularly special but I think it's a timely break for me. Just rushed to finish an assignment right before free week. Kinda stressful bah.

Hmm, to sum it all up, a rather uninspiring period for me..

Like i said, i rushed to finish an assignment right before free week.

This is something not new to me, I admit that i have the element of last minute-ness and laziness rooted in me.

The latest one, we had 3 weeks to finish a tender document. It was about a week before the deadline when I noticed the submission date and I was like "Oh?"

Ever since in primary school, I'd already see some signs of this really bad habit.

I remember one particular work, it was PS (art) when we had to build an aeroplane model fixed with dynamo (the plane wont fly wan la -.-) I did it quite last minute and got horrible marks for it.

Hmm, I guess I'd never learnt from it. Because over and over again,

I let me slip myself in a loo

then flush myself down the drain

Yes, one of my lecturers was right in saying "everyone does things last minute as people needs some pressure to do things". But to me, I find that my work ethic is a bit worrying to me.

I'm playing down the significance of this because

Usually the attitude and character we have now

Is what we have in the future

And yes, people can change de. Still, I do believe that there is something in a person that will never change. Never, ever change

What if this LM&L is something in me that I can never erase from myself?

This is what that worries me most.

An engineer is not supposed to be lazy. I'm very sure that I will find a way to complete my course and I'm very sure that I will graduate.

But having a successful career does not rely only on certs

It's the ability to apply the knowledge we have to its fullest,

And, a fantastic character, that matters more.

Fuh, I need a change, i really feel i need a change in my work ethic

I will work on this, because

I want to be someone I can be proud of in the future.

The Past 7 Days

Now feeling so sien -.-

I'd just finished watching TV de. The first Formula One race of the 2008 season!

I think I'm a huge fan of this very fast sport, don't know since when la haha. What made me get more into this is the way Kimi Raikkonen became the champion last year.

It was just amazing; down by 20-30+ points (cant remember how many exactly) at one stage, he clawed his way up slowly, eventually winning it by 1 point. Definitely there are positives that people can learn from him =D

But watching today's race brought me straight down to earth -.-. He qualified 15th, got stuck for quite a while behind a slower car, made a few errors and sadly his car didnt let him finish the race. Sien sien sien!

It's alright Kimi! Today is just not your day.

Okla enough of the boring things haha.

I didnt really look after myself properly for the past few days.

Now I cough like a goat, and my nose flows like a river (hyperbole ahaha)

But yah, I'm not feeling very well, hopefully can get well soon lo

The Year Before 2008

Wow it’s been half a year since I last posted (first posted -.-) something.

One would wonder wad can be done in 3 months. Some go for vacation, some find a job to keep themselves occupied. Those are useful things where you can get new experience.

How about me?

Every day just come and go away like that. MSN I can on whole day without chatting, but still I on it. I want to play many sports, but there isn’t anyone to go with. People asked me why have I never looked for a part time work rather than staying at home everyday. I tell you, when your mind isn’t set to do something, you won’t feel like doing it. Not because that I’m not ‘willing to be separated from my computer’ like what my mum said. -.-

Anyway, it’s new year! 2007 has gone and 2008 is here. And I can’t stop noticing 2008 has 366 days. haha

The time now is 10.03pm 5/1/2008. 5/366 days have passed already. Fast moh? To me the countdown felt just like yesterday. Just showing you guys how fast time seem to fly now. Haha

Here, I’m writing my review from 2007; a rather challenging year for me. But I also had some pretty good time as well.

It’s January, and SPM was a month earlier. So, it’s full time gaming -.- I can’t remember much from here because basically I was with Maple from morning till night.

That time I was still uncertain about where I’m going actually. Waiting for scholarship, but it never came. So going to Curtin was a quite last minute decision then suddenly the NS thingy pop up. I completely forgot about it, and the 2nd batch timing is rather bad with Curtin’s intake. It was a hectic few days settling all those stuffs but eventually I deferred NS, and eventually I’m exempted from it^^. Well, nothing to be regretted really =)

Somewhere in February, I finally reached wad I was aiming for in Maple : Lvl 70. haha

Here i'll start from the Orientation Week. I should say this is an important week where I get to know the uni, get to know where to go if hungry, get to know important toilet locations, get to be injected with the fear of the threat if you plagiarise, get to know some new friends (though amazingly I can’t remember seeing any of my classmate during that one week) and many things la. I got into the lamest, coldest group, “The Beat Nix ”. Not sure about the spelling but the meaning is fitting haha. I don’t mind that, but that annoying smoking girl in my group, I mind -.- ugh.

Anyway, I'm very happy in that one week, you know. Probably the happiest one in 2007 =)

Then I started going to class and do carpooling wif Sing Ong. He's a great guy, a great fren, a great son. Holy also haha. And I get to know him as a very determined and bright, intelligent person. It's great to know him ^^.

Other significant happening was the passing of my grandpa. He was 86. A sad time really, and it was made even worse by the coincidence with many assignments. I guess i just managed to drag myself over that period.

Can't remember wad month le now. It wasn't a very long semester and suddenly there came the final exam -.-. My preparation was awful I think. Partly because of too many last minute work and mostly just totally "no heart" to study. Then my famous last minute study came to action again haha.

There comes the month long holiday. The one I was waiting for just to achieve this:

This one month is similar to the ones im having now ( the boot comp, log in msn sequence). As the time is around mid year, I did find time to meet up with old buddies from sec school, sharing stories and all those stuffs. And i realised how much more stories they have compared to me. I have no problem with that; it's their life and i have my own life. But still, there's envy from me towards them for having a more 'kick-up life'. haha

The result came out and as expected it wasn't very satisfying. Serve me right ~.~

As in Maple, I ended the one month break Lvl 102 ( lame i know -.- ahaha)

Probably the longest one here. From wad I saw, Sing Ong and me (we are virtually one, because go everywhere also together -.- and fyi me and him have no complicated relationship) with the rest of the class are not really that close. Not to say not really that close la haiya I also duno how to say.

But things really started clicking in Sem 2 where classmates become closer. We hang out more we talk more we crap more we laugh more. And we do last minute work together more (lol -_-).

I wish I'd taken more pictures, but i din so sorry if u missed luuuuuu feiiii jieee jieeeeee, angnes jie jie, jenny jie jie, the ghey billy ( in Maple he plays girl character, memang ghey f3), 'class representative' MengPore( equvalent to ketua kelas in schools), our 'brilliant' physic lecturer(=P) and many more. Moving on now, and I've completely lost track of the timeline. Whichever came first don care la.

Another sad thing that happened was : I've had my first time.

First time : Car accident.

The only reason why I'm driving like I've just gotten the P license the week before was because of the accident. I don wanna go to much in detail about it. Just imagine when you are so close to kill someone. But I swore, I swore that i really didnt see the motorcycle coming. Pointless to say anyway, happened liaw. That few days were really really hard for me. I only told a few people, namingly 2 person that i trusted because if people come to me and ask about it, i don't know how to answer. Keeping my mouth totally shut wont help too so at least there're ppl i can talk to. The dark memory will remain in my head for a while. Hopefully it can go away sooner rather than later.

And again I was kuku enough to take only this picture from the short camp. It's a nice, interesting and useful camp to me. ( I didnt fall asleep during talks). Like i said in my friendster profile ( this 'robot' is there too) it was a short, but meaningful camp =)

Then it's the Final Exam. Then the result was released (I see in tears T_T). Then the 3 months holiday started.

To conclude the year, I guess it has the ups and downs, the joy and pain, and all the satisfactions and disappointments, though the (-) ones outweighs the (+) ones. Now 2007 is just a memory, but the setbacks can be taken as a lesson. And for the things I've worked hard upon all along, I'll continue striving.
